This website, www.ochotels.org, is operated by the Orange County Hotel & Lodging Association ("OCHLA"). Text messages offered through this site are sent by the Anaheim/Orange County Hotel & Lodging Association PAC ("OCHLA PAC"), FPPC ID #1412487. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you fill out a form on this site, we collect the information you choose to give us: your name, email address, your message, and, if you provide it, your mobile phone number. Providing a phone number is optional. If you check the text message opt-in box, we also record that you consented to receive texts, the wording you agreed to, and the time of your consent. Membership purchases in our online store are processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.

How we use it

OCHLA uses your information to respond to your inquiries, provide membership services, and send association news you request. If you opted in, OCHLA PAC uses your mobile number to send text messages as described in the Terms below.

We do not sell or share your information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties unless required by law. We use service providers (our website host, payment processor, and text messaging platform) solely to operate the site and deliver our messages on our behalf; they may not use your information for any other purpose.

Your choices

To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any message from us. To be removed from our email lists, or to ask what information we hold about you, email danny@ochotels.org.

Cookies and analytics

This site runs on Squarespace, which sets the cookies needed for the site to work and collects basic, aggregated analytics such as pages visited and browser type. We do not run third-party advertising. Our website may contain links to external websites; we are not responsible for their privacy practices or content.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we update this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date.

Terms & Conditions: Text Message Program

Program name: OCHLA PAC text updates.

Program description: When you opt in on our website, you agree to receive text messages from the Anaheim/Orange County Hotel & Lodging Association PAC at the mobile number you provided, including messages sent by an autodialer. Messages may include candidate endorsement announcements, information about endorsed candidates and their public policy positions, issues affecting the hotel and lodging industry, election updates, and voting information, and may include images. Donations will not be solicited. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of membership or of any purchase.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies. You may receive more messages in the weeks before an election.

Cost: Message and data rates may apply. Check with your wireless carrier for details about your plan.

Opt out (STOP): Reply STOP to any message to cancel. You will receive one final confirmation text and no further messages unless you opt in again.

Help (HELP): Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or email danny@ochotels.org.

Supported carriers: Major U.S. carriers are supported. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy: Your information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy above. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties unless required by law.
